VISA SERVICES

Various types of visas are issued depending upon the purpose like:

(a) Tourist visa for visiting places in India, meeting relatives/friends, pilgrimage and recreation;
(b) Student visa for those intending to pursue school / college level education (Letter from the school authorities is required to be attached);
(c) Business visa for businessmen & entrepreneurs to attend meetings, to establish joint ventures, for investment purposes, etc. (Letter from inviting authorities and Letter from the local sponsoring company to be enclosed);
(d) Employment visa for those who undertake employment in registered firms and companies duly approved by concerned Ministries in India (Letter of employment, contractual terms and copy of the registration of the company required to be produced); and
(e) Transit visa restricted to maximum of 72 hours (Onward journey ticket to be produced).

The applications for visa should be accompanied by three passport size photographs of the applicant and the same can be submitted in person, through travel agents or any authorized person. We do not insist on personal visits to the High Commission. The fees for various types of visas as on 1.10.00 which are subject to change in future are enumerated as under: -

Transit visa (single / double entry) 38.00
Transfer of visa (i.e., Transfer of valid visa from old to new passport) 19.00
Visas with validity of up to 6 months - (for tourist/business/conference/meeting purposes) 152.00
Visas with validity of up to one year (business/employment purposes) 247.00
Student Visas (for duration of the course or for the period of 5 years whichever is less) 285.00
All Visas with validity of more than one year and up to five years (for professionals / education/business) 494.00
